Bought for plastic corks

I only bought this opener to pop the plastic corks on 1.5 liter bottles of Cook's champagne that are on sale. As mentioned in some other reviews, Cook's bottles don't seem to want to open anymore. Having a background in construction I will find a way to open these bottles, but opening bottles with a pair of vices or channel locks does not set the mood when a company approaches an event. I bought a Franmara opener and removed a plastic cork in just three seconds. It's well made and light weight, don't hesitate to buy it, it works.
