I admit to being a "cult" MacBook 12 fan. I bought two for the house when 2017 came out - his and hers. However I would like to get one with an i5 or even better an i7 with 16mg RAM. When Apple announced this week that it was retiring this line, I finally spotted this device on Revain. The cost is much lower than other paints. Maybe it's really because it was "gold"? I took a risk An i5 block with twice the memory as my first ones. Well the group didn't arrive in one day but the lone motorcyclist showed up at 9am the next day - just with my package. The MacBook was packaged in its original Apple packaging and the entire box looked brand new. At first it seemed like I saw some scuffs, but they were on the packaging - interesting. The computer itself is in perfect condition, like new. First I looked at the cycles on the battery and there were only 9. The computer was probably a return that was only used for a very short time. I had to upgrade to Catalina first before migrating my old MacBook for a family member in need. I set it up to run Parallels and Windows 10, Office, etc. Everything is perfect. The key to this device in terms of durability and warranty is actually the lone USB-C port. If it goes bad (and I know of two cases, both of which happen to be rose gold flavored), there's no way to top it up without replacing it. All I can say is that this 'upgraded' unit arrived more like new and the original Apple packaging and power adapter were a nice touch. Overall satisfied, especially considering how much I saved compared to other i5s that come in silver or gray.
