Okay, the fact that we're even buying dishwasher fresheners is just plain ridiculous. BUT. An airtight dishwasher combined with humidity and poorly washed dishes means that every time the dishwasher is opened, an uncomfortable puff of air escapes that literally makes me nauseous. I have bought a Miele air freshener in the past and it has been perfect. A light lemon scent that was just there. I was tempted to buy the branded finish because it's cheaper and I was wondering how different they could be? Well, as it turns out, quite a lot. This tries to quell the bad smell from the dishwasher, which is why I get an overwhelming smell of wet lemon food. I thought I could handle it, but after the first load I found that every plastic I washed soaked up the lemon - not surprising when it came to my plastic (acrylic?) straws and cups, so have my smoothies and the like now have a flavor of artificial lemon. I understand it's done. You do powerful lemon things that go until eleven. Yay you. I still have two left and one from Miele on the way. Life is too short.
