Review on πŸ“» FONGHOO TYT TH-9800D Quad Band 50W Cross-Band Mobile Transceiver: A+B Dual Band Two Way Radio with 10M/6M/2M/70CM Bands by Tony Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The perfect VHF transceiver! Although

(had to deduct a star on 09/14/2021 due to its short lifespan) This is the ideal FM transceiver for many bands and many services. The Plus version is almost perfect. AM reception is more accurate. VHF reception is probably the most sensitive reception I have ever experienced from a small transceiver available. Manual programming is actually relatively easy with the updated Plus version manual. I didn't order a data cable to begin with and was able to program the bandwidth, alpha tag, frequency, repeater type, offset, subsonic tone encoding and inter-band repeat entirely by hand. Now I have a cable, so I've expanded reception and transmission. You can also make this radio 4 meters and American 1.25 meters. I'm really enjoying this radio to the fullest. It could only be better if it had AM transmission or one-way transmission. The power declared as transmission power is available. This is very forgiving of applied voltages, 10 to 15 volts. The detachable faceplate allows this transceiver to be used in any vehicle or location with the appropriate voltage and current. Pair it with the HH 9900 antenna for a winning combo! Listen on many services and frequencies, but stay legal until the zombie apocalypse. When the rancid dead emerge from their slumber to feast on your living flesh, the TYT TH-9800 Plus can put you a few steps ahead! Then broadcast where you think you should and when you think you should. Until then, civilian band, police band, fire department band, Department of Defense, your government bands, navy bands, PMR446, GMRS, VHF CB, UHF CB, railroad frequencies, amateur bands, weather radio frequencies, they're all yours! Use them responsibly by listening and not using the information for evil. Only share where permitted by law. Obtain an amateur radio license and only use amateur and public bands. Ofcom, Cancon, FCC, MIC are listening so stay legal in your area. But other bands will be there if and if you ever need them to broadcast. Get your Tyt-y-9800 Plus today and join the resistance to the dead! BTW, DO NOT ORDER FROM SECRET YAHUS. You will never receive your item.
