Review on Pirelli Ice Zero FR 235/65 R17 108H winter by Stanisaw Frank ᠌

Great quality, did not expect at all for the price.

I bought tires when there were no reviews, only a press release. My first friction clutch, before that there were studded Michelin, Continental. I skated 8 seasons, now there are 120,000 km on the odometer (that is, about half the mileage on this rubber). For all the time, I didn’t notice any changes in the behavior of the car on these tires (for example, on Conti a year later it became noticeably worse even with whole spikes) It looks like pot-bellied rubber, but it's only +, because. in case of inaccurate parking, it protects the disc from contact with the curb. During the operation, I have never torn through the sidewall, although it is all corroded by potholes. In the warm period, when cornering, it’s as if you’re driving in jelly, if it’s a little colder than minus 20, then the tires change for the better. There were a few moments when it skidded well when changing lanes, but the car remained controllable and immediately managed to straighten it out. Always stable braking. There was never a moment to brake off with the sensations that traction was lost.

Pros
  • Strong sidewall, quiet, stably keep a straight line on any surface even at high speeds. You have to drive very fast to make them surface in puddles or slush. Effective braking on all surfaces. Cheaper than Hakka, Conti, Goodyear, but no worse.
Cons
  • Up to minus 20 there is a feeling that "float" in the corners. Heavy. When balancing, they glued quite a lot of goods. On the ice you have to be very careful with sudden changes. On light off-road with an ice crust or in yards, when the pits from parked cars are polished to ice, they immediately give up.
