We're trying to save up for a ride, but so far this summer they've worked surprisingly well. We have a pontoon boat and we are tied with ropes all the time. I wanted a safer one because I'm always afraid of the boat coming off. Our connections are good, but I'm just paranoid about it. It turned out that they had another purpose besides security. We've added a docking hook on the front and back side next to the others. We connected two bungees together and attached one end to one side of the hook on our boat and the other end to the other side of the hook so it looks like a circle when attached to the boat. It remains attached to the boat and when we arrive at the quay we throw it over the bulkhead railing and the boat is immediately secured until we can disembark to tie the ropes. We have a lot of tides and there have been storms where the boat rocks and rolls back and forth but they make the boat more stable and look just as good as in bright sunshine. So I'm impressed and love them.
