What can I say about the toilet seat other than its installation. Bemis made a good product when I bought their similar "whisper" seatback in 2012. I ignore the fact that the seat mechanism failed after only three years because it worked perfectly the whole time. Unfortunately, Bemis decided that people needed a "feature" to periodically remove the seat for cleaning (I'd say that feature is ridiculous because people don't piss on the seat hinges in the 21st century. The gaskets that come with the original seat coped well with the task of preventing untidy loops). When the seat is installed as directed it will remain firm with the covers down but when folded up the seat can rock very unevenly from side to side. A call to their support team got nowhere, in fact the support person barely knew how the seat was supposed to work. So I'll live with that for a while and then look elsewhere for a non-Bemis brand and there are very few left now that there are so many Bemis brands.
