It worked with my ASUS GTX 1660 Super OC
Works! My 600W PSU only has 6-pin PCI-e power connectors. However, they all have 3 positive pins as shown by the 3 yellow wires on the cable. This adapter duplicates the ground and detector pins to mimic the operation of an 8-pin connector. When I just connected to the 6-pin connector, it failed to boot gracefully and displayed a message asking me to connect the graphics card to the correct power supply. With this 8 pin adapter boots without error. I actively played on it for several days, which confirms its functionality.
