My computer is in my desk cupboard, which also has a childproof lock. I wanted a power switch on my desk so I didn't have to open my closet door every time I wanted to turn on the computer. This little button does the trick. Now I can just sit down at the keyboard and press a key to turn on the computer. It was easy to install, mostly because the jumpers were clearly labeled on my motherboard.
