I have used a Bernzomatic propane weed burner in the home for many years with great success. Now that my daughter has a home I gifted it to her and bought a Bernzomatic replacement. Two things were different from the new model (1) the brass burner nozzle was changed (2) it was no longer made in the USA. Along with the purchase I also bought an adapter that allows you to fill small propane tanks from a 20# tank. After a short period of use, the flame went out. I thought the gas was bad or the tank wasn't full. Then I tried new propane gas bottles. Had the same problem. Again I thought the tanks weren't full or bad fuel. I started researching if anyone else had the same issue with this flashlight and found out that other Revain users were having the same issues with the Bernzomatic flashlight. I contacted the manufacturer's support and described the problem. Essentially, I answered questions about the primary use of a flashlight. whether the tank freezes during firing, what temperature the tanks are before use, hear the click of the igniter, etc. I reiterated that I have been using the previous model of the Bernzomatic burner with pleasure for many years. After researching other models, I bought a Mini Dragon (US manufacturer) from Flame Engineering. I was able to use it straight away with propane bottles which would not burn with the Bernzomatic, plus the Mini Dragon burns more efficiently and costs less than the imported Bernzomatic model.
