With all the wireless devices, our old AC1900 router struggled to keep up with demand. It's time for an upgrade, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on the latest high-performance routers. This router offers a good balance of performance and price and should last a few years. It has the advanced features you'd expect for customization, security, data prioritization, etc. The downloadable app lets you set it up wirelessly, which is a nice feature. First, I set up my wireless access point connected to my internet service provider's modem router (which I had disabled the WiFi part of). Later, when I decided to bypass the ISP router entirely (when it died), I had to plug it into my computer to set up the configuration (partly because I rebooted the router). So setting it up can be a bit tricky, but if you have a good general idea of WiFi and how you want to set up your home network, the app will help you in almost all cases. just works and doesn't require much attention or maintenance, which I can't say about my ISP's hardware (which is why I eventually gave up on it altogether).
