My experience was good.

Router works as advertised. Installation can be as complex or as simple as the user desires. Using a Genie with direct LAN connection is fast, and there is also a method to install a phone app. In my case, the firmware was not mandatory, but recommended. I went ahead and solved this as an online update. No problem. Interestingly, other buyers who "bricked" their router after this process did not disable it or speed it up prematurely. You really need to be patient and let the update go through…

Fast speeds, no stability

Bought to try the Wi-Fi 6 standard, but ran immediately at 5GHz with stability. The ping in FPS games would jump around making them unplayable. Moving to 2.4 solved this problem, but also removed the speed boost. I don't think the problem was caused by the repaired unit, but problems from the start mean I'm not interested in finding out. I was able to bypass the +100Mbps speed increase over the Google Mesh Wi-Fi network provided with fiber service. But due to the lack of additional…

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE - Computers and Accessories

May be due to "updated" status, but this device does NOT save any changes. I'm stuck with all the default settings. I cannot change the router name, SSID, password, IP settings, etc. Every time I try to apply the changes, it takes two full minutes to "apply" the changes, although after waiting everything stays at the defaults. It doesn't matter if I'm trying to apply a single setting or an entire page of settings; always a waiting time of two minutes, changes are never saved. Sometimes the…

$100 cheaper than selling at Bestbuy!

Best Buy sells this item for over $100 more. After reading the reviews and seeing that some people weren't so lucky, I still took the risk of buying this. As soon as I plugged it in, the router automatically updated to the latest firmware. This made me nervous as some people complained that the update disabled the router. After the update, the writer worked perfectly for me. There is reliable signal in my 6,000 square foot house. I love that I can connect over 25 devices to it. It works great…

Not for the average end user. Right now.

First of all, if your phone or PC doesn't support 802.11ax, then this router is useless to you. It may be better than other routers, but your internet speed from your ISP will be the bottleneck. What good is 3 GB of bandwidth if you only have 200 Mbit/s internet. Also, I have configured many routers in my time and this one was the best to compile. If you are inexperienced with a router I would drop it or find someone with good networking experience to install it. I love that it has the option…

So far, so good! - Computers and accessories

I've been researching for a few days and this particular model didn't even come to mind when it appeared on Revain. I was very hesitant to purchase this based on the mixed reviews. At the same time it was connected, started and has been working without problems for a week. At the moment I have no problems with speed and stability. It works great so far. I thought this router was wpa3 but so far I can't find it to turn on and I just did a quick search but there isn't much information about it…

Big improvement over our old AC1900 WiFi

With all the wireless devices, our old AC1900 router struggled to keep up with demand. It's time for an upgrade, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on the latest high-performance routers. This router offers a good balance of performance and price and should last a few years. It has the advanced features you'd expect for customization, security, data prioritization, etc. The downloadable app lets you set it up wirelessly, which is a nice feature. First, I set up my wireless access point…

Powerful next generation router. Only 9 Mbps

I used to be a fan of Netgear in general. Most of the time they do things right and have pretty good gear. HOWEVER, after several different routers with very poor results over the years, I'M DONE! It should be a pretty good router with lightning speed. But I quickly realized that all the serious issues involved were enough to drive me crazy and send me back. Extremely Slow Mid-Range Speeds: Just 3 rooms and a few walls in between was enough to drop my WiFi speed from over 480Mbps to just under…
