Router works as advertised. Installation can be as complex or as simple as the user desires. Using a Genie with direct LAN connection is fast, and there is also a method to install a phone app. In my case, the firmware was not mandatory, but recommended. I went ahead and solved this as an online update. No problem. Interestingly, other buyers who "bricked" their router after this process did not disable it or speed it up prematurely. You really need to be patient and let the update go through. Bought a second one. highlighted.
