Had a couple seedlings not doing well at all with the CFL light I had, so decided to give this one a try. It was very reasonably priced, and just the right size for my needs right now. I set it up in a spare bathroom with the seedlings almost two weeks ago, and have the light about 18" above the plants. They have really taken off since then. Took a few days to get going, but now they are adding leaves daily. It has worked perfectly. I have it on a simple mechanical timer 18 hrs on/6 off, running the veg setting only, although I tested both switches. Packaging was excellent and the temperature and humidity display is kind of nice also. The hanging system is easy to use, just need some kind of overhead support. I placed a board across the top of the shower enclosure and put in a little eye bolt to hang it from. Very little heat from it and the fan is very quiet.
