I followed all the instructions to connect this drive to the dashboard. It sits on level ground and the dashboard surface is relatively smooth. It held up well for a couple of months, but as the weather warmed up about half of the dashboard detached when parked in a fairly sunny spot. I had a phone holder attached at the time, but the phone was not installed. I tried to put it back in place and it took about a day and then came loose again. I had to detach it and attach the phone holder to the windshield until I found a better solution. Removing adhesive residue was difficult, although it failed to hold my holder. Not worth the money I paid.
