Sound only can be used to try this first and if that's not enough go to Vibration and if it still doesn't work try it with shock. It's great that this one device has so many options to try. I have a large dog that is difficult to train. Between sound and vibration, this should be all that was ever needed. I've only tried this sound on her so far and it definitely scares her and gets her attention. I have found that watching lots of tracking videos with such devices will help you be as successful as you want to be. We have a lot to do but now I'm very confident that we will succeed and that will help her a lot to finally listen in the way we need. She's a great dog and has lived a lot, but we can only get her to listen every now and then, not always, and that's never a good thing. What's also nice is that I'm always in control of what the device does when I want it, so Moss never uses it. The charger can charge the remote control and the collar at the same time.
