The transparent hooks themselves are fine. But the included clear adhesive strips are not as strong as regular white command strips. After dropping each hook three times (although what the hooks hung on was lighter than the recommended max weight), I decided not to weigh them down with the extra clear strips that came with the kit. Instead I had to buy a pack of regular medium (white) command strips (a spare pack) and use them to hang the clear hooks. They have never fallen off since I switched to white strips. I've used command strips and control hooks to hang many things over the years, but I've never had a problem keeping them on the wall the way I've done with these clear strips. I wouldn't recommend these unless you're willing to use plain white self-adhesive command strips behind clear hooks. Luckily for me, the wall I hung these hooks on was as white as the replacement strips, so the strips matched nicely. Perhaps 3M can improve its formula for clear tape to match the quality and strength of white tape of the same size.
