Really great for Christmas gazebo lighting

Decorate an acrylic gazebo for Christmas. Command products make it easy to attach all lights. You don't want to nail or screw anything to the acrylic structure and spoil its appearance. Always so easy to remove in mid-January. I've heard a lot of people say they don't stick, but the surface needs to be really clean, and I use rubbing alcohol wherever they are. For 3 years there were no problems. Night photo of the pavilion is attached.

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY!

I hate being that person, but every time I put one of these on either a painted wall or bare wood - as per the manufacturer's instructions - they come loose. I tried hanging one from the ceiling over my sink, it's raw wood, I primed it with alcohol, let it dry and glued it according to the manufacturer's instructions. I haven't touched it for three days and the moment I tried to hang something from it, it fell behind my sink. When I tried to hang them on a painted wall I treated them with…

I have written some rave reviews on many Command products as I have literally dozens of different products, sizes etc. Unfortunately I used multiple hooks today and EVERY STRIP came out dry! All of them. I emailed 3M immediately and received a response within an hour. From 3M: The shelf life of the product is one year. When I asked why they didn't write it on the packaging, they said it wasn't necessary. She mentioned that even duct tape has an expiration date (okay, who knew about that…

Easy to attach. Nice design, smooth edges and strong hook. I rubbed my fingers, tiles, and the back of the plastic hanger with rubbing alcohol to remove any traces of oil. The tip of the hook stuck out further from the wall than I wanted for one of my items, causing it to lean too far; but I was able to "crush" it with a pair of pliers, which was made even easier by the twisting action of the hook. The clear adhesive strips are NOT as strong as the packaging suggests. I had to use white command strips of the same size and weight.

The transparent hooks themselves are fine. But the included clear adhesive strips are not as strong as regular white command strips. After dropping each hook three times (although what the hooks hung on was lighter than the recommended max weight), I decided not to weigh them down with the extra clear strips that came with the kit. Instead I had to buy a pack of regular medium (white) command strips (a spare pack) and use them to hang the clear hooks. They have never fallen off since I switched

Great product when you figure out the 'rules'!

They worked better than I expected. But they do have a few "ground rules" that you need to know in order to get the best results! - If your walls are not smooth and have no structure. !- If your walls are smooth, make sure you clean the area where you want to stick the strip well. Make sure you remove dust, dirt, oil or grease from the wall, otherwise it will stick to tape like sticky tape, making it less sticky and more likely to peel off the wall.
