These shoes will meet your expectations. They are very comfortable and very light. New, very stylish. I really liked the shoes. However, I bought them for work. I work in IT and our floors are concrete. When I walk across town for lunch, it's less than a mile a day on the sidewalk, if I walk at all. After about 5 months of daily midday wear to work (where I mostly sit) the tread on the soles of these boots is gone. The light effect is a compromise for a durable tread. Nike hiking/running shoes have never done this to me (except on long distance hikes for 1-2 years). I was walking down the sidewalk in the morning after it rained the night before and fell on my ass! The profile is mostly worn in places where the profile is not visible, in fact there are divers that I believe can turn into real holes. Miles on them, I'd happily get over 5 months for a $60 pair of shoes.
