I get regular pedicures at the salon so I only have a few rough edges on my heels and feet and small callouses. This grinder is really good for touching up between salon visits and also keeps a few corns at bay. I don't think it's strong enough to do anything with severe calluses or cracked heels etc. The vacuum feature helps keep the area cleaner than a hand file, but it's not perfect. And make sure you're over a trash can, toilet, or paper towels when you open the front to dislodge the shavings. It's powdery and goes everywhere. The rotary motion makes this device a bit difficult to use compared to a roller callus grinder. Conveniently, it's wireless (so you can even do it outside). The instructions state it is NOT waterproof so don't expect it to be washed up in the sink.
