This is my second purchase of this mouthguard. The first broke when I bit my bottom teeth onto my top ones. This caused the front of the bite guard to separate from the bottom. Do not do that. I don't snack in my sleep so it's not a problem. I did this during the day while playing games on my computer. It's pretty easy to adjust to the teeth. Just follow the instructions carefully. If you screw up, you get a free replacement so you don't have to send in the broken part. Once installed, it's very easy to sleep with (at least compared to other bite protection products I've tried). Won't fall out, stays firmly on top teeth like with a vacuum. You have to remove it by hand. I had one professionally done a few years ago and this one is about as comfortable. It takes some time to get used to. Force yourself to wear it until you get used to it. Then you don't even notice it at night. I wear mine during the day, sometimes while playing. I get stressed sometimes. And it's important to use a bite guard when you're a grinder. When I was younger I would have used a different one regularly. Now I have broken teeth. I lost two teeth at the age of 50 due to brittle teeth. Now I try to avoid dentures.
