Good budget option but wears out quickly
The handle construction is very strong and will withstand some of the rough work that usually breaks first when using other cheap carving sets found at craft stores. The case is also very good and the whetstone was a good idea. However, instead of becoming visibly dull and needing sharpening, flat blades (not convex) got vessels that would require some work to get sharp again. For this it is better to use a razor or a pocket knife. Convex knives are great and don't dull easily, probably because they rely more on geometry than sharpness.
