The battery on mine puts out about six hours. It would be nice to crank it up to around twelve so you can settle down and sleep through the night to fully unwind and then wake up with an alarm, but it serves its main purpose of blocking the lights like a champ. I usually set it to play a long clip like rain sounds or white noise to fall asleep and let the alarm wake me up. At least it doesn't bother external noises under the film. And the contours of my face feel great when I roll onto my side, so I'm not limited to sleeping on my back.
