I don't want to write this review - I currently have 3 and used to have 4 (when Vornado used their variable speed switch - has since gone in favor of one amazing CHEAP three-speed clickers removed). It is clear to me that Vornado is capable of producing a world-class air circulator. What frustrates me a lot is that not only have they NOT advanced their technology to make higher performance fans at an affordable price, but they prefer to bump the performance of this very expensive circulator down to a decent if unimpressive $130 limit dollars. , even. I think some reviewers are wrong when comparing the Vornado to all other "cheap" fans - it just keeps getting better - it's a superb machine. My review shows that Vornado doesn't really set out to improve its product, preferring to rely on a reputation it (rightly) earned years ago and still be content with charging a hefty premium . in front of their older "red logo" series and compared to the current "blue logo" series. Like me, they might feel that their older generations are even superior to the newer ones. In fact, I'm willing to bet money that they will. Like I said, I don't care if Vornado beats the $50 competition - Vornado needs to outdo themselves and they seem to have given up on that goal. Until that changes, I'll drop her.
