This item was well packaged in its own box and I have been using it for several weeks with no problems. I didn't want to pay more than $10 for a light as I've heard that some of these selfie lights don't last very long. I chose one that requires batteries so I don't have to keep charging it. 2 Tripe A (AAA) batteries are required for this. There are 3 lighting modes that work well in very dark environments. I tested this by turning off all the lights in my home office at night. When I turned on the selfie light, my face was clearly lit on the screen (I was on the zoom). It easily attaches to my iPad and smartphone without damaging or blocking the screen. The only minor downside is that the plastic is smudged with ink from the marker I used. Buy it if you don't want to spend a lot. Got pink to match my tablet stand.
