I chose this mount for my Benq 3550 mainly because I needed the 8.6" spacing (advertised) to face my screen without distortion from the keystone correction fit. I ended up getting almost 9 inches after everything was attached. I had to get other screws besides the ones that came with it, but that's what I expected. My local hardware store had what I needed. The round part of the mount had 4 (instead of 3) spiral slots, which allowed me to mount the projector very close to its center of gravity. I still had to tilt the projector up slightly to get it perfectly perpendicular to the screen (not a trapezoid), but the hex nuts allowed them to be tightened nicely without being too tight to move them a bit by hand. The trick is always to allow some adjustment while still keeping it where you placed it (since the tightening process itself can cause movement). So far I've been lucky and it stayed where I aimed for. Since I have a screen, I wanted to get the image right between the edges (on all four sides) as large as possible. This vehicle allowed me (in my case) to repeat it without keystone distortion. Your experience may vary but I think this is a good vehicle.
