Bought for my 12 year old son who kept asking for it. he didn't let him go and the price was right. Assembly was easy enough, 3 nuts/bolts to attach the tire to a perspex back panel supported by a strong metal plate (wrenches included). The tire is durable (metal). ) with a spring hinge that flips up when someone tries to hang from it. In addition, plexiglass is thin, which allows it to bend rather than break when someone pulls on it. Gaskets are in the right places. don't worry about scratches. This can damage the wood if your door is near the top of the frame. The tire and shield deserve 5 stars (especially for the price). I subtracted a star for a folded, deflated ball that flattened in less than 10 minutes. Luckily, I also bought my youngest daughter an SKLZ Pro Mini Swish Foam Ball (to avoid a fight). I prefer the foam ball because it's lighter and softer, but the beach ball bounces higher (when inflated). My son didn't mind foam as it's more about shooting than dribbling. A highly recommended product for the price. is a great gift, just don't forget to get an extra ball!
