Yes it can open bottles but that's a plus. I bought these to temporarily disable the stupid seatbelt horn on a 2019 Tacoma. I'll admit it, I'm guilty of not wearing my seat belt on back roads and in parking lots - if I get into a 5 mile crash I'm pretty sure the seat belt won't matter in my survival. I wear my seat belts for normal driving - I just don't need a signal to yell until I decide it's time to buckle it. As for the fit, I found it too roomy for the 2019 Tacoma. Don't worry, I made a few light strokes with a flat file for a perfect fit. It's the width, not the thickness. I can also confirm that they work just as well for opening bottles! I was going to give it a star for fit, but not having to hear that silly ringing made me feel better!
