This product was exactly what I was looking for when repairing cracks in the batten and plaster walls of our home. I tried using the universal drawing tool first, but it didn't give me enough control to keep the blade in the crack as I gouged it out. Then I tried the pointed end of a tin can and a bottle opener. It was easier to control but difficult to understand, especially after a few minutes of use. This product has become my favorite product. It's sharp enough to easily score a groove for putty (use a good quality putty that you squeeze out of a tube, not in a caulking gun). Other blades were invaluable in removing old paint from interior window sills that I needed to polish. Can't say enough good things about this little instrument.
