A week ago I bought a Sony ICD-MX20 digital voice recorder. I was surprised that Sony doesn't provide downloads for the accompanying software called "Digital Voice Editor". Sony customer service informed me that if you lose the CD that came with it, you will need to buy a new one. Only software patches are available for download. The support staff told me that this is company policy even though the software is tied to a digital device. This immoral policy violates the norms of the digital device industry and should not be encouraged. Sony lowers its brand by offering poor after-sales service. think twice
