Other reviews like it for the same reason I do: just put it on, switch it on and go. Every rainy season, the ground floor area of my house gets flooded when contractors recklessly dig up a small patio - very small, behind the double doors. Although we have a drain there, it doesn't drain properly if it rains too fast, and we have a 2 foot wide shallow river that flows over the tile floor that always flows too fast. That season, after it first happened, I realized there had to be a better way, and there was. It was that pump. 9 inches of rain (twice the depth of the dug patio) and not a single drop got into my house. Great pump.
