Had to replace my vent window after it fell apart when only 2 years old. Ordered this and ordered to protect a new one. Installation was easy, no need to drill the roof at all, only 4 small mounting holes need to be drilled under the vent for the brackets and it stays watertight. The attachment system lets you know it's a tear-off system in case you hit a branch or whatever the vent cover comes off rather than damaging your RV, and it costs less than $30 compared to a roof repair. I actually bought mine for $13 from an Amazon warehouse, brand new with a scuff on the roof so no one would notice or see the cosmetic scuffs. I've wanted one for my camper for a long time and it protects my new hinged window which by the way takes 15 minutes to replace so I'm super happy now 😊.
