This is a very good fermentation bucket. I know people have complained that it's not hermetic, but that's because it has to be hacked. When used for the first time, the threshold was not airtight and, as expected, very difficult to open. That was the last time I had a leak problem. I just spray the rim of the lid with disinfectant, snap it open and it seals well. As I write this, I start to burp. Just think of it as new shoes or boots that need to be broken in before they fit comfortably. I ordered a second one but somehow they lost track of it. So I contacted Revain and they immediately placed a new order. Hopefully this time it will reach the carrier for delivery.
