Granted, I've had it for a while, but the first batch of iced coffee I made was great. There were no problems with the nose, it suits me. I haven't cleaned it yet, so I'll update if this process turns out to be bad. UPDATE 08/29/2021. I've cleaned and reused it several times and it's still great. I hand washed it, not in the dishwasher, FYI. The filter cartridge is metal, quite thin so I wouldn't advise "touching" it, but it's not so brittle that it can be damaged if you're careful. And the cold drink I make in it is delicious! I only use regular store bought ground coffee and there is sediment in the container but it is below the spout and even tilting the container to get as much liquid out as possible didn't result in sediment. in my cup. You end up with just a thimbleful of liquid and sediment, so you don't waste a significant amount of coffee. Basically I am very satisfied!
