I bought this model a year ago, it works great, but most importantly, it makes excellent coffee. This model is intended for preparation of coffee "EXPRESSO". This type of coffee was invented by an Italian at the beginning of the last century. Ingredients 7-10g ground coffee, 35-50ml water, sugar to taste. Coffee is brewed to form a foam, at a temperature of 65-85 ^ C, under a pressure of at least 9 bar. All this is in this model. You can also prepare "Cappuccino" - espresso + whipped milk, "Americano" - 1h espresso + 3h water, "Late" - 3h milk + 1h espresso. For beginners, I will give a few tips. 1) EXPRESSO is a mixture of two types of coffee beans, as a rule, Arabica 80-85% and Robusta 15-20%, the latter determines the strength of the drink. An important indicator is the roasting of the grains, it should be maximum. When choosing coffee, the labels should indicate the scales “roasting” max, “acidity” (not always) min and “strength” to taste. I chose 2 types of espresso for myself, one is softer and the other is stronger, the price of 1kg is about 2t, but I think you can find cheaper ones. 2) An important element in the preparation of espresso is the grinding of coffee, it must feel like fine “extra” salt, otherwise there will be a violation of the dosage, taste, the coffee will turn out to be watery, etc. Such grinding can be achieved by the ratio of the weight of the grains and the duration of the coffee grinder (c / m). With a long time of work to / m, the grinding heats up and gets knocked into clods. For me (on my coffee shop), 30g of beans takes 25-30s, depending on the type of coffee. 3) Water, the worst choice is tap water, no matter what filters you have. And in conclusion, once again, the taste of coffee depends on the quality of the beans and its preparation. About the volume, EXPRESSO is an average of 45-60ml. I set up 1chsh on my RCM-1503 coffee machine for “Expresso” - 60ml, 2chsh for the “Americano” type - 120ml, who needs more, not coffee, but a coffee drink, this model does not fit.
