I'm very interested in electronics and at the moment I'm consuming these things like candy when I'm developing a project or two. In the past I've always used 3.5mm square plugs in a plastic case, but lately I've found it difficult to find good quality plugs. Then I found these and I still *love* them. The two best parts of them are: 1) They have a metal body from the filaments to where the connectors exit, which makes them very strong, and 2) the surface where the filaments end and the body begins is nice and flat huh eliminates mounting instability issues. No issues with bad connectors, loose connectors, poor contact, snapped threads, etc., all the issues I had with the other guy. Note that I haven't had them long enough to know how they hold up over the long term, but a lot of my projects are used outdoors so I should find out pretty quickly. If I have something new to report I'll come back and add, but for now I'm very happy with Rick NR417
