Outer Plastic? This product will not last long and that is. Twice the outer case is plastic with half the screw holes as ventilation holes in galvanized steel and these holes don't match the screws taken out. The product requires special screws because the holes are narrowed and the hinge is not. Hold when using a regular bleed screw. This vent will not last long as the outer part is made of thin plastic and will tear within 3 years. This is made worse by the fact that there is no way to install a vent cover that would limit UV exposure to the top of the vent. The lid is good quality but has dual ducts so good luck finding a replacement.
