A-1, pluggable replacement
Our Kenmore microwave now starts the carousel every time the door is opened. Startled, a little online research revealed the fact that only the carousel was getting power, not the magnetron, and one of the door switches was the likely culprit. It was cheaper to replace it with all three switches than to buy the switches individually. This isn't a repair I would recommend for non-technical people (I've been in the electronics business for over 50 years) but our oven is now working as it should after a little installation and an annoying lid. (The bottom switch was the culprit.)
