This PCV valve has the same quality and design as the original Volkswagen Mk4 (1999-2005 Golf), GTI and Jetta PCV valve ). If you have a rough idle, the engine stumbles and your idle RPMs seem "exploratory" (not constant) then your PCV may be the culprit as it becomes clogged with nasty, oily blow-by gasses and then clamps either open or closed. Quick Tip: If you suspect your PCV is to blame for your car's drivability problems, get the PCV out from under the intake manifold and give it a shake. It should rattle as it is a ball and spring valve. If not, then shoot. BE CAREFUL when removing as most of the PCV system is made up of plastic hoses that will literally crumble in your hand if you try to remove them. Just buy a new dipstick tube and save yourself the trouble. ;)
