I had two tripods, an inexpensive Quantaray QT II-550 tripod and a Fancier FT-717b video tripod. their limitations. So I started looking for a new tripod and here are the reasons I chose the ZOMI M5 as my new tripod.1. Functionality: a. Tripod with ball head. b. The legs can be wide apart. c. The center column can be turned upside down. i.e. It can be transferred to a monopod. Size: The Zomi M5 is sized well for general use and also small enough to be carried with my Lowepro Slingshot camera bag once selected (pictured)3. Price: Under $60 (after discount) this is one of the best prices that I can find for the tripod I'm looking for. After a few weeks of use I am very satisfied with the quality of the ZOME M5. It's solid and sturdy and I'm impressed with the fluidity of writing it gets. In fact, the pen writes better than my video tripod. I am satisfied with the quality of the ZOMI M5.
