This zip up hoodie is amazing for the price we paid my 11 year old practically lives in it. For the record, she's nearly 5 feet tall, weighs 127 pounds, has a muscular build, and likes sweatshirts that are "a little big." It fits perfectly in size XXL, not too baggy but roomy enough to be very comfortable. I would say XXL is roughly an 18-20 kid size. She prefers boys' styles as most girls' styles seem too pink and shiny to her. She prefers vintage looks and darker colors. This particular sweatshirt has quite a few color variations to choose from and we'll probably end up buying a few others so she has more color choices in her closet. Like most teenagers these days, she lives in her favorite hoodies β even in the summer. It freezes very easily, so hoodies are definitely a staple in our house year-round! This sweatshirt has been washed at least once a week lately - I would say it has probably been washed 10 times or more since we bought it 3 months ago. It does seem to fade a bit with washing, especially on the sleeves, and some fading over time. Still looks good (for now), but that's why I took a star off the rating. We have other sweatshirts, that look new twice as long. I will confess to tossing it in the dryer for the first few days of washing, but I've started hanging it in the dryer to see if I can prevent further wear and tear on the fabric. The zip also holds up well unlike some similar jackets my daughter has had in the past. Sometimes she has problems with zippers, but no problem with this one. Consider hanging to dry or risk discoloration. Update: We've had the hoodie for about 6 or 7 months and about 3 months ago the green on the sleeves started discoloring and looked "rusty". The blue and gray on the rest still looks ok and the fabric doesn't "pull" like some fabrics after washing, but the discoloration on the sleeves is enough that my daughter won't wear it out of the house anymore. We'll be buying another one, but *without* the green sleeves. The blue and gray on the rest still looks ok and the fabric doesn't "roll up" like some fabrics after washing, but the discoloration on the sleeves is enough that my daughter doesn't wear it outside the house anymore.
