Review on 🛏️ Bare Home Comforter Set - Twin/Twin XL - Goose Down Alternative - Extra-Soft - Premium 1800 Series - All-Season Warmth (Dark Blue) by Heather Martin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not what I expected, but not the worst either.

Let's get started. I spent hours reading product reviews for washable comforters, they were warm and fit my budget (less than $50). I bought 2 of these blankets and they arrived yesterday. Firstly the navy blue and gray aren't as dark as shown in the picture, I don't really care as I wasn't that worried about the color as it was washable and warm! First we washed the dark blue color. In a front-load washing machine, these are large blankets, not too bulky or thick, but thick enough to be pushed into the washer. However, just run an extra rinse so all the detergent drains away and hangs over the shower curtain rod or stair rail to dry completely. This is why this product only got 3 STARS: As soon as I unboxed and inspected it, so many seams came and went! The filling didn't come out, but after one wash the seams came undone. We wash our duvets often and the key is to find a washable duvet so we don't have to buy duvet covers. However, having already washed both duvets, we can say with certainty that we will use duvet covers to protect them for longer use. Now for the good: this duvet is sooooo warm! Not too fluffy like we wanted, but warm and snuggly! I slept so well with it last night under my new duvet, although it annoys me that the duvet already seems to be showing less quality than expected should it last MUCH longer in the duvet than if we used and washed it regularly. Generally no. terrible purchase. In my opinion, it doesn't stand up to regular washing, but with a duvet, it does! That being said, buy the cheapest color I've had and you end up tucking it in a duvet!
