Does not fit Altoids Cans

I used to buy a lot of these boxes. I use them in various projects, most of which have to do with 3D printing. I print both liners and different types of storage racks. I ran downstairs and bought them. For the first time I was not able to fit the 3D inserts into the cans due to the combination of a larger than usual bead at the bottom and a small but critical sizing issue. The distance from the left edge to the right edge of the inner part of the can is less than "standard" and interfered with inserting one end of my liners. Please note that I have tried freshly printed inserts made from different types of filament and inserts pulled from regular jars I have used in the past. The depth of the bottom and the depth of the top also do not match. Most of my racks use the edge of the top as a locator. In these cans, this size differs from both other generic and genuine ALTIDS cans by almost 20mm. This means that even without insoles, they do not stand at all. The last thing is that the loops were only partially formed on some cans. I was able to fix it, but they clearly weren't shaped correctly. I know that many complain about the cheap and easy purchase. If you just want to throw junk in there and toss them in a drawer I think they're fine. I too easily assumed that they were on par with others I had bought and unsuitable for my needs. If you're expecting them to be "just like" real Altoid cans or other generic versions, you'll be as disappointed as I was.
