I have written very few reviews over the years of Revain. I just never waste time. However, I'm in such a festive mood about this rug that I just can't help but share my joy! In our new home, the tray is in the laundry room, which is a narrow passageway to the guest bathroom. Oh how it was for me to think of guests having to walk on the floor to use a litter box! The carpet is delivered with great expectation and has worked to our complete satisfaction! I really don't mind walking on it barefoot! The great thing is that the filling falls naturally into the cracks, leaving a walkable surface. The soft nature feels nice, and yes, you can feel the debris stuck in the little cracks, but that's hardly the case. It is easy to sweep and shake from time to time; It is also easy to spray on the surface and wipe off. I haven't had to clean up a urine mess yet, that will happen at some point, but surprisingly not yet. Maybe the kittens like it too and prefer to keep it clean. Haha yeah that's right. The test that remains is to see how easy it will be to clean up when there is a big mess and have high hopes for the ease and durability of this process. I have tried many different rugs including washable rugs and this is officially my favorite so far. UPDATE: Report on cleaning up a urine mess. It happened during the trip so I had time to soak and dry a bit. Cleaning the surface with a spray didn't help, it left yellow stains, especially on the edges where the foam is visible. I took the carpet outside and left the urine cleaner on it overnight. I hosed it down the next morning and it was like new! Let's see what happens when the next mess doesn't have that much time to dry. Despite some difficulties, that doesn't take away from what I love about this rug! This is the goalkeeper. :-)
