Was pleasantly surprised that liquids didn't penetrate through as threw up on it within an hour of putting the first one in my diva. A friend recommended me. I've since bought a few more so I can rotate, especially the ones I use with a large group of new kittens (11!) and their mothers in the bedroom - they tend to be messy as the mothers are semi-feral.

This mat is amazing. it's big and colorful and looks pretty good. I have to store my boxes in the bathroom right next to the shower and I'm tired of having trash stuck to my wet feet every time I get out of the shower. That rules it out completely. It holds the litter in place, and once a month I just pick up the rug, vacuum the litter underneath, and voila, I finally have a zero-waste bathroom floor. Highly recommended.

So I have an open tray with a removable strainer that sometimes leaks where the strainer attaches. On rare occasions, urine will seep through and onto the carpet, but not onto the floor like other carpets. And the grooves prevent it from spreading everywhere. This makes cleaning so much easier! The limited budget and inability to afford a fancy fitting for my cat makes this product practical.

I recently bought one of these for a toilet and bought a second one. I really like how big it is and that it fits in my large liter box leaving room for spills and stains around it. My car crashed when we were changing the tray and peeing on the mat, but it didn't get wet. This mat is great if my cat would step or jump on the mat immediately after using the tray! I still have to clean and tidy up the floor but then the clutter has reduced remarkably, I could only find a few bits of debris after laying this rug down. " litter box. Update 5/15/202 - although my initial review suggested that this does indeed reduce the amount of litter in the home (that's still true) there is a problem. If your cat has an accident on the mat all bets will be void. After the accident I tried to clean it but it was difficult or tiny perforated lines and what I removed kept the smell. The cats then decided they had to scratch it and this material falls apart very easily. Now it doesn't look nice anymore and tears. It was good while it lasted.

This rug made a world of difference to the amount of litter around the closet that houses our cat kennel. The best part is that you don't even see the collected junk unless you're really looking for it. A few days after I placed it, I picked it up without thinking and a whole heap of junk fell out. I'm disappointed because I really liked this mat, it looks nice and catches dirt pretty well but it's impossible to clean. I literally don't think it ever needs cleaning other than sweeping/shrugging it off. In less than a month he looked visibly dirty.
