Review on πŸ“» LP-D02 Boombox: Portable CD Player with FM Radio, Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB, Headphone Jack - Playback CD/MP3/WMA, AC Power and DC Battery by Owoeye Reed

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The sound quality is NOT great.

Pros: - Multiple audio sources (Bluetooth, USB, CD, CD MP3, FM radio, line-in switch) - FM radio reception not very good (and no AM radio) - Volume control can be finicky ( not a big problem, but a bit annoying at times) all functions work, input, output, bluetooth, radio, etc. The presence of USB and bluetooth is particularly welcome. There's even a primitive equalizer that helps a bit. Plus it's a cute little radio. But features and style are not a problem. Since the main function of this thing is to play sound no matter what input (CD, Radio, Bluetooth, USB, etc.). Shouldn't sound quality be first on the list? Who needs a device that gives them 6 different high-tech options to produce crappy sound? Not me. I'll be returning it and looking for something, probably twice the price, that (hopefully) sounds decent. With the prevalence of high-end Bluetooth speakers today, the poor sound quality of this device is unacceptable. Add $5 or $10 to the price and throw in a decent speaker and it's worth it. I should also note that the radio antenna doesn't pick up local stations very well, and the volume control sometimes misses volume levels. Also, there's no AM radio, which I would probably never use but would still like to have.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Older model
