One of my favorite lenses is the new Canon 85 1.4 (Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM). I've been shooting with him since June 2018. Sooooo sharp - every eyelash rings! Great for perfectionists who want to see their reflection with a camera in their hands in the pupils of the model :))) Ideal for shooting outdoors when you can't fit with a 135, and at the same time gives no less artistic picture, twists the background (if there is something to twist: I mean a beautiful background, not strangers and houses) and no need to rip voice, shouting to models from a kilometer away where to turn their heads (from 135 you have to yell to be heard). The portraits on him are sooo beautiful, both at 1.4 and at 2.0. In a good big studio, I also shoot with pleasure. Super quality! If you need to shoot a family at 85mm, move away and close the aperture at 2.2-2.8 (I donβt set it anymore). We monitor the shutter speed, we do not set it longer than 1/160. I do not use a stub, so I set the shutter speed to be shorter. I have the fourth brand, it holds high ISO very well. The lens is nice and weighty in the hand, like a glove! For me it's not hard at all. There are almost no aberrations, and those small ones that slip through the counter are almost invisible. I do not even bother and do not touch them during processing. Really one of the best lenses from Canon. In general, Highly recommend to everyone! Attached are examples of work.
