Our five year old daughter, like many others, is a collector of plush, cuddly and cute things. From flea markets and thrift stores to arcade video games and gifts from friends and family; she loves them ALL and does not discriminate against anyone. Every year we have a family garage sale that we all contribute to and every year it's an epic battle to get them to part with one or more of their prized stuffed animals. Remember that a significant number of these have been lovingly displayed on a shelf or at the bottom of a dustbin for a year and nobody has touched them or played with them; but their existence in their lives is paramount (or so she says). She knows all their names by heart and remembers who gave them to her or where they got them from. But all this suggests that thanks to this beanbag, the stuffed animal battle is finally over, a truce has been signed and both sides are happy. She's freed up the foot of her bed (where 75% of her treasures were) and even made more room on the shelves, in the corners, and in the toy drawers. We can fit her entire collection of furry friends into one bean bag chair and we still have room for more. As her collection of stuffed animals grows, I no longer have to fight forever to reclaim her room from the cute invaders. Such a blessing!
