The recommendations on their website were very helpful. I first washed my jackets (2 at a time) with 3.3oz Tech Wash in a front loading machine on a low spin in warm water. Immediately upon completion, I filled the liquid soap dispenser bowl with 3.3 ounces of Soft Shell Proof and ran it on a low spin in warm water. After that I hung them up for about 20 minutes and then put them in the dryer on medium for about 30 minutes (thanks to another reviewer for this recommendation). With this approach, these bottles each withstood 3 cycles. , so 6 jackets. The result is better than I expected. Tech Wash somehow cleaned them better than my regular detergent and combined with Soft Shell Proof has revitalized the color and fabric of all the jackets I've washed (ski, running, fall, etc. jackets). It hasn't rained since I did all this, but I tested the water resistance by spraying them with water and they were immediately beaded. Nothing went through the fabric. It's not a cheap product, but it does what it's supposed to and does it very well. My jackets have been an investment for me and I plan to do this at least once a year.
