This cord is very macho. It's heavier than my other 14 gauge cable (different brand). The cord diameter is at least 3/8 inch, maybe even 5/8 inch. The connector is pretty small (okay, no kidding!), making it difficult to grab when it's not plugged in. Also, the connector looks pretty wobbly. The time will show. I can always replace it later. The "triple" female connection looks very solid. And inside there's a little orange light that tells you if it has power. Note. There are no screws on the bulky female end. It looks glued on. Therefore, you cannot disassemble it for repair. The yellow color makes this cord easily visible. I have only used this cable once so far. It works well.
